The Portes du Soleil is one of the largest linked ski domains in the world covering 650kms of marked piste, connecting 12 ski resorts in two countries. 

There is skiing to suit all abilities, from the gentle nursery ski slopes in Morzine and Les Gets to the numerous blues and reds all of which are beautifully tree lined with stunning views over the Alps.  For the experienced skier there is the infamous Swiss Wall in Le Croset and the off piste areas of the Combe du Machon and Renard bumps. The area has enough to challenge everyone, everyday.

For boarders there are half pipes and or boarder parks in Avoriaz, Mont Cherry, Les Gets, and Le Croset.
There are two ski schools in Morzine, both of which are very good:

Lessons are best booked once you have confirmed your stay but should be booked as far in advance as possible.
